3. New York – Coney Island

Known for its iconic landmark – the Statute of Liberty – New York has always been one of the best places to visit in USA. The fun city offers venues like the United Nations Headquarters, the Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, the Coney Island, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and Carnegie Hall which are visited by millions each year. The city has several bars and nightclubs, which remain open until 4 am. Visitors interested in partying can mingle with the elite society crowd, and have a glimpse of famous celebrities, musicians, top athletes, and sports persons in the exclusive nightclubs.

The city is also experiencing a renaissance: half of the roads in Times Square have been given over to pedestrians, the 85-acre Brooklyn Bridge Park continues to see old piers transformed into parks and apartments, and the universally loved High Line, a reinvention of an elevated train line as a landscaped walkway, opens its second stretch in Chelsea this year. Also, Brooklyn’s Coney Island finishes its much-needed $30 million makeover this summer. And on May 23, another icon will have a historic moment when the New York Public Library turns 100.

4. Hawaii – Beaches

Hawaii’s six major islands include Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai and the Big Island. Many people know Oahu since it’s home to the state capital of Honolulu. Each island has developed its own personality and features different sites. For example, many visitors like to drive up the 10,000-foot Haleakala Volcano on Maui and watch the sunrise. Other activities include hiking Kauai’s rugged Na Pali Coast and visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island or Papohaku Beach on Molokai, which, at three miles long, ranks as one of the state’s longest beaches.

6. Yellowstone National Park,Wyoming

In 1807, when John Colter (a scout for explorers Lewis and Clark) first described the wonders of what is now Yellowstone National Park, everyone suspected that he was embellishing. But there is no doubt now that the park is indeed extraordinarily beautiful. If you’re looking for the ultimate outdoorsy getaway, this would be it. Hundreds of miles of hiking trails meander through forests, along streams and up mountains. But be prepared to share the road with Yellowstone’s more permanent residents like buffalo, elk and sometimes even grizzlies. Steaming geysers, bubbling mud pits and multicolored pools are sure to renew your interest in geology, while more than 3,000 square miles of mountains, canyons, geysers and waterfalls are sure to inspire the nature-lover in you.

Although Yellowstone attracts about three million visitors every year, chances are — unless you spend your entire trip at Old Faithful — you won’t see much of them. Yellowstone’s 2,221,766 acres sweep from the northwest corner of Wyoming onto the edges of Idaho and Montana, offering plenty of untouched territory to explore. And while that may seem daunting at first, just remember that you can always come back.

If you just want to come and have fun, the city will welcome you for that, too. Ride the city’s famous streetcars and explore St. Charles Avenue with its historic mansions and huge Audubon Park with nature trails and lakes.

10.San Diego – City

Consistently sunny weather is what draws visitors to San Diego throughout the year: that and the mouthwatering cuisine, thriving nightlife and one of the country’s favorite zoos. And then there are the beaches: As home of the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet, San Diego has many top activities that revolve around the sea. Head to Mission Beach to soak up the rays, to La Jolla to catch a wave, or to the Maritime Museum to learn a little nautical history.

In spite of constant growth, America’s Finest City maintains a small-town feel, making it a popular destination for families and anyone looking for a more laid-back getaway. But that doesn’t mean you can’t let loose here. Pockets of vivacious nightlife can be found throughout, especially near the historical Gaslamp Quarter.
